What is a Refillery?

A refillery is a place where you can fill up your own container with home, body and cleaning products in an effort to reduce waste. More specifically, it is a place where you can refill your used (and clean) bath, body, and kitchen containers instead of having to buy new ones completely. We promote this practice in order to avoid adding new products into the pipeline, but we offer glass and aluminum containers for purchase if you don’t have your own!

Zero waste is reducing your personal waste to 0%. Completely gone. No food waste, no textile waste, no packaging waste, etc. It would mean that anything you consume/purchase would be able to be returned back to the earth instead of harming it.  Here at the Live Oak Refillery we understand that, in our current economy, being zero waste is an ideal that is extremely difficult to achieve! We recognize that we still have a lot to learn as individuals and as a society about how we can best protect our environment.

We choose to promote a low-waste, harm reduction lifestyle because it is more attainable for everyone to achieve. Our bulk station and sustainable swaps help you do just that! We know that you need to take life one day at a time and one swap at a time. The journey to a more sustainable lifestyle is different for everyone, and that’s okay!
